The rescue, medical assistance and control network for the Grand Raid International du Cro-Magnon

organized with the cooperation of the Soccorso Alpino e Speleologico of Limone Piemonte and by the dell’AMSAR  (Association Méditerranéenne de Secours et Aide Radio – Groupe secours Transmission Encadrement de manifestations sportives et formation de secourisme -http://www.amsar-gst.org/ ) with the help of the UNASS de Marseille (www.unass.fr).

 

From the Start to the Fort de Giaure (SOCCORSO ALPINO°

Radio networks

Two teams of rescuers, standing at two different places on the course

Two off-road vehicles

Four signalers

Direct connection with the Centrale Operativa Regionale of the Soccorso Alpino, for any special rescue, including by helicopter. (It can be activated also by calling the 118)

 

From the Fort de Giaure to the Finish (AMSAR)

Two special radio networks interconnecting all the security net and the race direction

Three off-road ambulances with rescue team

Two ambulances with rescue team

Three different rescue teams standing on the most isolated sections of the course

One team of running rescuers, who will follow the trailers

Two off-road vehicles with medical doctors

One off-road vehicle for overall control

Two PMA (Medical station), with tent and three beds

One PMA at the Finish

The PC (Central Coordination Post) at the Finish, with direct connection to the Rescue Firemen and the SAMU (Medical Urgencies), for any special rescue, including helicopter.

 

 

In addition to that :

Two off-road vehicles with radio transmitter, for the Race Directors

Eight portable radio transmitters for the volunteers

One Satellite Tracker

And forty volunteers (signalers, controllers, course openers, “balais” etc.) under the direct control of the Race Director
