The Cro-Magnon and the Parc National du Mercantour

You have the privilege of participating in this event that will take you through a fragile, protected area: the MERCANTOUR National Park, and make you longing an historical monuments: la Vallée des Merveilles

Please behave as you would enter a cathedral.

In such places respecting fauna and flora is essential: you must stay on paths and tracks, following our “balisage” without straying off them. In the Park only your eyes are authorized to wander anywhere, to wonder at what Mother Nature tries to preserve. No fire, at all. In the Park there will not be any refreshment stations, the last being at la Minière, balise 85, the next at Camp d’Argent, Authion. You will find a drop zone for your rubbish. No running sticks are allowed, unless with rubber tip, in the regulated area from the wooden bridge at lake Saorgine up to Pas du Diable.

At the Start of the Race you will receive a small bag in which to collect your rubbish.

Be vigilant: you will be disqualified and fined if you don’t respect  these rules.
